Green Depression Glass Sugar and Creamer Set

Green Sugar and Creamer – Depression glass in green. Both pieces measure approx. 3 ¼” ht. x 3 ¾” dia. No lids. No marks. Again…from the 40’s. Sometimes these were found in detergent boxes.  Probably not going to happen in today’s times, however.  They are clean though, to be sure !

Cottage Ware Tea Set

Most collectors of the cozy Cottage Ware sets would probably think of the name Kitsch here, but there is a lot of cottage ware still around from a variety of makers, which suggests that it must have very widely popular at the time. It’s those cozy cultural associations of the thatched cottage working their magic again. This set was made by Price Bros (Burslem) Ltd,  a firm that began in 1896 and continued after 1962 as Price and Kensington Potteries Ltd. The design, number 845007, was registered in 1945. This set is in excellent condition. There are no chips. As a plus…it’s never been used (except the creamer, which was used only a couple of times to pour milk into the kitty’s bowl).

Memorial Issue of Look magazine 1964

What were you doing on November 17th, 1964?  Well…this issue of “Look” magazine from that date might bring back some memories.  This is a “Memorial” issue for John F. Kennedy with his wife Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and her son on the cover.  It is still in decent shape, but has had a few hands and eyes on it over the years.  I didn’t actually “see” any eye prints…but there could possible some dried tears on it. (these don’t show either).  This item could possibly be a “…diamond in a goat’s xxx.. as I’ve heard some say from time to time.  Bid on this and make it yours.
